Finally got a chance to rent one of these. Pretty cool car! The auto is nice but prefer my manual. Once you drive this car though, you will never complain about how the stock GT's hood flutter ever again. This thing looks like it's going to bounce off!
For some reason these 2 pics are the only ones that would upload?
I'll try and get some more through the week.

Interesting - looks like someone started to peel the tag off.

It's the protective plastic film coming off is all.
I'm not pulling off though, it was a 20 min walk around before I could even leave with the car! lol it's only got 4500 miles on it.

But....but... how do you have the discipline the not want to peel it off. I'm sitting here scratching at my monitor as I type this.

I'm actually pretty impressed with this car. The automatic in sport+ is very nice. Not sure agin in Shelby America put a tune on it or not but it runs very solid. I can see the changed springs and swaybars and the exhaust is something Ford should consider for its stock GT's.
Only 2 things I'll really thought they could do something with, the hood shakes and bounces at all speeds and other than the overflow tank and oil fill cap, both aluminum, nowhere else on the engine compartment does it even refer to or labeled Shelby

Maybe the previous renter had those away.........and you'll pay for them on your return :D

I do love these cars. I saw one parked out front at Shelby when I visited their HQ in Vegas during SEMA week. I think they add just enough mods to a stock GT without going too over the top. The S197 version was just the same.

Very nice. How does the rental work (to get one of those particular cars)? Do you need to be a VIP with Hertz or something?

Although I'm a gold member, I don't think you need to be. Problem is they're very expensive to rent, very expensive. I used a lot of my Hertz points to pay for it. I got it for around $750 for the week I think regularly it goes for $1600 a week.

Had someone give me a thumbs up in Fort Lauderdale on Monday with one of these. Saw the GT-H and remembered something about them being part of the rental fleet.
