My buddy and I both have 2015 GTs and we are taking a trip for the weekend and neither one of us wanted to drive our cars so we decided to get a rental. We ended up with an ecoboost mustang and to my surprise I am quite impressed. With advance trac off and the car in sport more it moves pretty good. Not quite like my PP GT but enough power to burn the tires off and have fun. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the ecoboost now that I have got to experience one.

I never thought they were bad. I have a long ass commute to work and an EB is on my short list to replace my currentl daily driver in a year or two. It'll be a lot more fun with a few bolt-ons. But isn't everything.:D

I've taken two road trips in my ecoboost. I consider it the ultimate touring car especially with the premium features. Have gotten close to 30 mpg on both trips and this was while being pretty heavy footed. The ecoboost shines with great mpg and a big range before having to stop for fuel again. Also being dead quiet. All of those combinations plus the fact it's pretty quick makes for the ultimate touring machine imo. I love my car.

Another thing about the 18's and no pp on my car is that allows me to carry a spare tire in the trunk. Never know when that might come in handy.

And you did not have a tune... this car is fairly "slow" without a tune. :D

I bought a spare for my car that has the PP and it fits right in the spot where a spare would.

As I've mentioned in another thread, if I were getting my Mustang to be a daily driver instead of a fair-weather weekend fun cruiser/auto-x and track dancer, I'd be looking at the Ecoboost premium instead of the base GT. Still got enough power for doing fun stuff with, the price point allows DD luxury, it's lighter at the nose, and you get a turbo. Plenty good things there, that.

more info on the spare please? someone i know is looking for something that will clear the brembos without having to buy a full size donut because he is not sure if the load floor will become raised up in the trunk.

psh having a spare is no fun. Then you'll never get to use the awesome kit ford provides instead

His PP is an Ecoboost PP...it has later 4 piston brakes that the standard Ford Mustang donut spare will clear...your NOT gonna be able to buy a spare to clear the GT 99 6 piston Brembos.
