"I was just taking my grandmother to church, and had to speed up quickly to block off a passing line of baby ducklings from an on coming train filled with murderers. Then something just didnt feel right with the car. Obama saw me save the ducklings and said to go ahead and fix whatever was wrong."

You need to take off the intake and straighten the blades as best as possible and try not to scratch them up in the process. Then put everything back to stock and take it to the dealer. Im sitting here trying to think how you could fake that the bypass valve broke and damaged the turbo. That way the warranty could cover both.

Either way next time loctite your nozzle and mount it so no bolts are in the inside

I would venture to guess you should hurry though, once someone from ford reads this and puts a word out to dealers to keep an eye out for someone coming in with a fucked up turbo pushing only 9lbs, they will be like.... hmmmm.....

Dang, that sucks! Honestly, I think you'll have a hard time explaining this one to them. If a bolt got down in there and it's only boosting to 9 psi, then I'd dare say you're in trouble.

I'm not trying to be a dick in saying this, but you should consider replacing it yourself. First, because this isn't a fault of Ford's. This was a direct result of something you did, so it isn't really fair to Ford for them to replace it. Second, they'll probably figure out that you've been tinkering with it and may try to void your warranty. If you replaced it yourself, then you might be able to save the warranty for something that failed due to Ford.

Adam from MAP is running a big turbo, so maybe he could float you the one he's not using for a good price.
Agreed. Your mistake. Don't push the responsibility on to someone else.

The lack of personal accountability in this thread is pretty sad. It appears the turbo is not serviceable and you will need to buy the whole assembly for a little over $1000. Just chalk this up as a $1000 mistake and move on.

I've seen tons of turbo blades broken, but maybe only one turbo bend the blades. That's extremely optimistic and not likely. That said, spending two minutes to remove the intake will tell that story.

To be able to build any boost at that point without the turbo exploding or breaking the shaft from being uneven is impressive.

What I would do - return to stock and take to dealer, if they reject warranty go through mechanical breakdown insurance and use insurance check towards bigger turbo.

Not that I'm an a-hole. If I ding someones car I'm not leaving the scene without giving my info, but when it comes to a large corporation I look out for myself because you can bet that's what they do every day

I fully support and live by this ethical approach.

Wow... If your car blows up and its your fault you deserve to pay for it. If a homeless person steals from you does it make it OK just because they're the "little guy"?

Man... I feel bad for my country.

Everybody will be happy to know all your nagging got to me. Instead of pulling a warranty scam, I'm going to buy out my lease and throw a big ATP screw on it. It's the only way I could think to get out of this with a clear conscious:amen:

Props to you for doing the right thing. I too plan to snatch up an ATP kit once they hit the market.
