Things went without a hitch, super easy less than 10 minute job. I got scared when it didnt fall off after the last bolt, it wsd kinda stuck there, but i think its part of the design. A little wiggle and off it went. On the sadder news it was drenched in oil, let' hope the radium plate and new valve solves it.
Next up: removing the cylinder head!!!
I put the Radium baffle plate in too. Any codes from yours? I'm getting P04DB PCV Disconnected, but only when I floor it. I've double checked everything I did, and haven't figured where or if there's a leak.

Thanks for the helpful vid link! I've also been searching for a DIY vid on injector re&re with no success - if anyone has a link (or a PDF) of the necessary steps) that'd be most appreciated. I'd think the first 6 or 7 steps are the same as for I.M. removal, so maybe just a few more beyond that(?)
Why are you removing the injectors? Once the IM is off, it's pretty straightforward as far as removal. Remove the fuel line and bolts on the fuel rail to get it off of the engine. I'd pressurize the fuel system first. Pull the fuse or unplug the fuel pump and let it idle out of fuel.

I'm guessing you meant DE-pressurize(?)

In my long & frustrating quest to solve a puzzle, one of the likely culprits is a dirty (or sticking or defective) injector. I'm trying a couple of bottles of injector cleaner first, as well as some other things, but I anticipate reaching the point where I decide to pull mine and look at them. And since a proper check + clean is more expensive and takes so long...I figure I'll just stick in a new set. This is not a done deal, but it's on my radar.

Its the ford hose, that has got to be the most delicate hose on the planet. Did u re-use the one it had?

No, I used the one Radium supplied, hooked to my Mishi catch can, which worked fine with its own hoses before I added the Radium plate.

Well if you installed the plate with the valve that came with it you dont need the catch can. Try going stock style and see if that solves it
