Ok…. LOL… with THAT span from ground to frame, tell me what floor jack you used to get the body lifted that high for insertion of the jack stands…. I need to know….
LOL no Jack at all, since my engine hoist wasn’t going to be used to lift the motor out, I wrapped a long chain around the frame horns and cherry picked it on up. Only used my floor jack to initially lift the car and then beach the frame down on my modified Home Depot dolly. All this ingenuity came from not wanting to pay someone to do it. (Myself not having a lift) The whole thing is way more stable than it looks, but before doing it, my one prerequisite was before anything else making sure my parking brake was holding perfectly. Otherwise I would not have fixed that first for sure 😆

I’ve done it on a hoist and it was a complete nightmare 😂 Not worth the $750 savings.

What's the best method you guys have found for safely jacking the car up onto four jackstands? Raise driver side and place two then raise passenger side? Or are you guys lifting the front and placing two then lifting the rear?

Edit; Another question, has anyone here ever dropped a car trying to place it on jack stands?

When pulling the trans i let the weight of the trans tip the engine back and shove a piece of wood between the balancer and sway bar so the engine stays leaning back when putting the trans back in.
