It would be interesting to know if people running plugs get pulled over more that those that have never had holes drilled in states that require a front plate.

Plugs imply a plate was there and removed and might draw more attention.

Maybe I am wrong on this.
Doubt it. It's not very noticeable unless you are specifically looking for this but why would any cop do that? They would just look for the plate itself right? Glad I don't live in one of those states!

Just thinking along the lines of a corvette. Very few(unless you got it at carmax :D ) run front plates and don't seem to have issues.

I don't run a front plate and have not had issues. I also don't have holes in my bumper.

But in case I do get stopped, I have a sto-n-go that was never installed in the trunk. I will just say I have an appointment to get it installed.

I know TX requires front plates but I drove my 2008 Mustang without one for almost 8 years without ever getting puller over. I think I'll try bumperplugs and I'll let you know.
I'm in Allen - and I haven't put a front plate on any of my cars for years and it's not been an issue for me. And ... I've been lucky enough to not have the dealer pre-install. After I decide to buy (if it's one off the lot) and I make sure it has no rear dealer sticker and no front plate bracket.

I'm going to take mine back to the dealer to have the bracket installed. They put it in the trunk when I got the car. :D

I cannot understand why dealers screw the plate brackets into new cars. They could keep it in the trunk and check with the new owner at purchase and see if they want it on or not. When I was looking at 15 Mustangs a plate bracket on the front was an automatic NO to buy.
most dealers in CA do that, at least the cool ones
