How easy is it to remove the 5.0 badges on the fenders of GT's?

Easy. If you want to keep them to sell or re-use later, just be careful when pulling them off or they'll crack.

Tape a border (blue painters tape) around them so you can keep the proper alignment when putting on the new emblem.

Use a hairdryer or heat gun to gently warm the emblem and its backing adhesive.

Use a plastic putty knife or similar to gently work your way under the emblem. Work your way around the border - again gently so you're not really pulling it away from the car or the adhesive that's still intact and more centered will cause the badge to crack.

Once around the edges, work your way to the centre. Gently pull the emblem very carefully as you do this and it will come off.

You can use GooGone or similar to get rid of the left over adhesive on the paint.

Clean the surface with some alcohol pads or similar and you're ready to apply a new emblem.

---

Remember that there are factory mounting holes for the emblems in the fender. So you'll have to cover them with another emblem or decal or whatever.

Use string, less chance of damaging your paint work, shouldn't unbalance the emblem and make the opposing side dig in

Wait. There should NOT be holes on side badging. Front and rear, yes.

There are several Youtube videos on how to remove badging with waxed dental floss and a heat gun. Check 'em out.

There are holes under the side badges. Always has been on the mustang as far as I know.

used fishing line, dental floss was way too weak and kept breaking even with the hair dryer. It has holes in the fender didnt need to do any alignment just put them on.

Preferably pretty strong fishing line. Don't buy the cheapest stuff, like I did. Eventually got it done, but it took more time than it should've.
