Remove Center Speaker??

Can anybody explain how to get to the center speaker? I want to disconnect it as I think it over powers the door speakers.

Another alternative is to disconnect it at the amp presumably.

The trim piece covering the center speaker on the dash is just held in by clips. You should be able to pry the panel off and easily have access to the speaker.

You may need to remove the dash panel piece first though (the long piece where your ac vents are on.

I wonder if those clips are the ones that break when trying to remove such panels...

Also, those clips like to come off of the piece you're removing and stay in the hole they're sitting in. You need to use a pick or pliers to get them out of the hole, without dropping them.

I still haven't found a proper replacement for those blue/yellow clips either...looking for some.

I know an audio installer had a ton of those clips in a bin. He told me he got them from a ford dealer. It's worth asking at the dealer if you ever break some.

Maybe I can get to the speaker connector with the front fascia off and avoid removing the cover.

Quick question for anyone who's taken the center speaker out, any info on what the ohm rating of it is?
