I know that with some cars, pressing a specific sequence of buttons on the key fob will roll down the car's windows. In the summer this would be great to have as it would let all the hot air vent out before I get to the car. Is there any such feature on the S550?

Thanks

Yes the S550 does it. I believe you hit the unlock button twice and then hold it down.

ahl395 is correct. Press twice and on the 2nd press hold down. No option to put them back up though.

You also have to make sure "remote open" is enabled in the settings on your dashboard.

Vehicle -> Windows -> Remote Open

Then maybe RTFM?
RTFM? What's that mean?

I'll have to look into the "remote open."

Thanks!

That's okay but good to know. Like I said, I really only want to be able to do it within 20-30 feet (not sure how far out the key fob works)...just so I can let the heat out.

Thanks

It means "Read The F***ing Manual" which a lot of people like to say, but often forget that NOT EVERYONE BUYS A NEW CAR, and there are times when there is no manual present.

Also, the remote-roll down feature will not work if the car is running, and it works from a LOT farther than 30'. I do it from over 150' away daily.

Not judging anyone BUT FWIW, Ford has manuals for current and past cars in PDF format on their website. I make sure I keep a copy on my phone and PCs. Haven't opened a paper manual in years. For some reason you can't tap on references and have that page open automatically with paper and don't even get me going about the search function.

Maybe he just bought the car, and isn't familiar with how forums work..

If someone is able to post here the can also get a copy of the manual.

Enter a VIN and download all the paperwork your vehicle came with.

While *I* know that, and many others do too, it's not something that everyone thinks of right away. Cut the guy some slack.
Thanks but those pissing and moaning about dealing with people that ask questions should probably refrain from chiming in...on a discussion forum.

I'd be willing to be that, aside from experiential threads, the vast majority of questions here could be answered by reading the manual. I'd rather thank someone here who already knows and possibly develop the conversation further learning even more than spend more time getting just the answer from the manual.

And as for using the search function, try entering "window lowering", "fob lowering", "fob windows" and let us know what you get. All I see are dozens of pages with people talking about their new Stangs and others talking about problems they are experiencing.

Seems like it takes significantly more time to sit and bitch than it does to either share the answer or ignore the thread.
