So I have a 2018 Base Mustang. I had the dealer install factory remote start with about a 100ft range and a separate remote that only has 1 button on it with no confirmation etc. Later I had the dealer install this product (long range extender antenna) https://accessories.ford.com/electronics/remote-start/aerial-asy-11900.html After the install of the antenna it does not work how its supposed to. I'm assuming its because I need to get this remote https://accessories.ford.com/electronics/remote-start/remote-control-system-11899.html
My questions: Does anyone know if this is accurate? If I do need this long range remote does anyone know if its as simple as just calibrating it or does the dealer need to do some sort of installation?
Hope someone might have experience with this since my local Ford dealers don't know squat... about anything.
