Remote start

Anyone know how to adapt the UK version to remote start? Useful to heat/cool car before you get in.. The US key has the button but not on our version unfortunately..

Are you absolutely sure? Have you seen any info from mechanics saying can't be done? Why couldn't the US module be wired up? I do have an auto too..

I was supposed to have remote start in the Discovery 3 I bought back in 2005.

It was disabled for the UK as it's illegal to have a car running without someone in it or by it, apparently.

I assume it's possible to 'Mod' the car to do this, just as it's possible to mod the EB to give it Launch Control (without needing to press buttons)

That being said, I assume you could tell the car to do Line Lock as well :lol:
