So at first I thought my remote start was not working. If I push the start button twice it does nothing but long blink the red light. Even if my car is locked. If I then push the lock button , then hit remote start twice it fires up. Is that how it is supposed to work ? Seems really odd that I have to lock it again when it is already locked.

You literally have to hit the lock button with in like 3 seconds before trying to remote start no matter what, same with rolling windows down, you have to hit unlock then press and hold again for 7 seconds or so. Don't worry it gives me issues sometimes too.

Yes as someone said press unlock then press unlock again but this time leave it pressed. If that doesn't work make sure you have it enabled in the menus.

unlock press-unlock hold.

The lock-start-start combination is handy... just think how many times the trunk-trunk sequence accidentally opens the trunk from a pocket.
I have a really bad habit of hitting the panic button. I'm always like, "who the hell's car is that?", to which my wife replies, "yours...".
Literally never ran into these, but surprisingly have accident triggered the window one at work, thats pretty scary...

I think its supposed to be enabled by default. But yeah menus

If it flashes red during button sequence, it means it could not communicate with the car (too far away, low remote battery, etc)

When the light is flashing green during button sequence, it means it has connected with the car and is starting the car, when it goes steady green after button sequence, it mean the car has started and is now running.

As for the Window Lowering, click unlock then press and hold unlock and the windows will roll down, to stop them from rolling all the way down just release the unlock button and re-press it.

Seriously, what ever happened to indenting the panic button a little bit so you cant easily accidentally hit it? Also why is it so damn big. With I could disable it honestly.

you can. with this and this

I wish I could disable the trunk button, but that one isn't possible. I had to disassemble my fob and shave the button down just a bit. It sill works if I press it twice really really hard, but no more accidental activation.
