Anyone try this Genuine Ford accessory? Up to 2500' range, says one hour install. Where do you connect it?

You can start the car with the Ford Pass app on your phone if you are out of range of the fob

Interesting, I’ve never seen this before. would be useful if you do not use FordPass.

As far as install it looks like an easy plug-in. Instructions are most likely included.
Yes, apparently it is nothing new. But I like the idea. Many examples of where this makes sense, especially in winter or hot summer days. But, I would want confirmation on the remote. There's even a $10 aftermarket version. My guess is it goes into the OBD port. Also, I find the fob to be much easier to handle than the non-ergonomic clumsy camera with a phone in it.😁

This particular cable is relatively new as it only works with 18+ vehicles. There was an older auto start device that doesn't work on our cars. I do not think I would go aftermarket if a factory piece is available for an extra $20.00. Also as it is an antenna extender I would not think it goes into the OBD connector. It has a return policy, so order one and try it out. You have nothing to lose.

Looking at the image I'd guess that it is supposed to attach to the inside of the window glass with 3m tape and the cable will run to wherever the existing antenna plugs in and replace it.
My personal experience with so called antenna extenders leads me to believe that this thing is a waste of $30.
On the off chance that it actually provides some extra distance I guarantee it will be nowhere close to the half mile it claims.

The factory setup already has pretty good range. Even without the factory app.

I do not disagree with you on the value but since it’s returnable there’s no harm in trying it.

Other than having to disassemble an unknown amount of the interior at least once, twice if you want to return it, then I suppose not.

I was wrong about the OBD. Common sense says it connects to the stock antenna connector, no? I suspect it might come with its own fob; sure don't need another one.....

Hi Jerry. I looked at a number of sites trying to get more information about this extender. I could find nothing relating to a Mustang. Only Ford trucks. The part doesn’t come with instructions and I have no idea where it actually plugs in. Seems like the dealer do not know either based on some off the truck owner comments.

Thanks, I guess I can live without it, pretty sure it's a pita to get to the connection point.😎
