I'm aware that the drivetrain in our car has been around forever, and tuning for the coyote has not changed very much since the 15 revision, but what are the chances that something drivetrain related will go wrong with a 93 octane streetable tune, possibly with ghost cams enabled? I've read through the get informed sticky about warranties and the law, but I'm just wondering the chances of getting a tune to make more power (with bolt ons) and having our motors or drivetrain brake.

The chances of something going wrong using a tune from a reputable tuner are very low, especially on a NA vehicle. But I think anyone that is willing to take the risk should at least be financially prepared if something were to go wrong.

I agree, I am prepared and can comfortably afford a fix or two but obviously the preference would not be fixing anything, I'm wondering if there are members here who have had tunes on their previous mustangs since day 1 and have put a ton of miles on them

I put 65K miles on my Bama tune with my S197. Zero issues.

I totally understand where you're coming from. I personally wouldn't be worried getting a tune from a reputable tuner. As others mentioned there's really minimal chances of that causing something on your car to break. However, with that said you know the saying. If you want to play you gotta pay. That means if you're going to risk modifying your car or any car for that matter you need to understand that you're doing so at your own risk. If something breaks and you can't get it covered under your warranty you need to be prepared to pay for it on your own.

I can't speak to the Ghost tunes but I have heard mixed reviews on those. Some say no issues and other say stay away.

I have had tunes on all my Mustang's, even my 03 cobra that was of course SC from the factory. I had zero issues across all of them. I drag raced them all, ran on road courses and daily drove them all for years at a time.

I will be going with Livernois this time for my tune on my '15GT PP. It will be CAI, exhaust (no headers, at least not yet) and tune for 93 octane only as that is all I ever run. I would expect this to last years and years with zero issues.

There's no issues running the cammed tune other than your fuel economy goes to crap with it. It's a novelty file and really not meant for anything else other than just having that cam lope sound.

You will have 0 issues with a great custom tune, from someone reputable. Another bargain basement tuner just went out of business the other night.

Our Lund custom tunes are top notch and will do a great job for you.

because of the internet, people can become an overnight sensation just by having their friends post how great they are. there are some vendors that practice this as well

there was one guys that was supposedly doing "the most awesome tunes bruh" lol

other people have been reviewing logs of this "awesome tune" and it is anything but

out of business overnight.

trust your car to someone very reputable. hell even then you have places that have names and have been in business along time, that shouldn't be tuning a lawn more.....

I wonder if UPRSteve will give me another LOL ...... ;)
