Ford better get to it and start releasing the drive test curfews soon. The car is starting to bore me and doubts about many of its less pleasing attributes like rounded shape, size and weight, and perceived fun to drive sacrificies from losing the rear axle are all starting to grow on me. I need some reviews either reassuring me of its performance or telling me its a boring yet more capable car, etc etc

There aren't even any 2015 Mustang in the press fleets yet.

They need to step on it then. If they can release out guides and put out all manner of sample cars out there for show they can create a few GT Performance Packs and send them out to the majors. At this point its getting late for me. Unless they have something to hide and dont think the reviews will be stellar.

Man end of SEPTEMBER?? Start of the dark gloomy cold season. I really don't know what they are thinking with this late Q4 launch schedule. I mean who is really into sports cars in the dead of the winter? At least if they released the reviews now we coild have something to tide us over. We got nothin..

At this point I'd like to see the cars quietly hit the showrooms with little to no fanfare just to spite all the impatient ones. Reward the mature enthusiasts with great deals and insider info on future models.

Yeah.. They're coming quietly all right. So quiet that nobody even knows where the fudge they are :-) We got dealers telling people January etc. Not even the dealers know when they are getting them "quietly".

Clearly there's a reason S550 isn't in the hands of owners or the press, yet, and that's because Ford wants to ensure the quality is spot on before the car is released. See Tony Alonso's thread (FRAP tour) to see how seriously they are treating this.......clearly Ford doesn't want a repeat of the recent Lincoln launch issues.

The press reviews will be, like it or not, VERY important. Their reaction will be what the general public and non-Mustang enthusiasts will take as gospel. So, I'd rather wait for the car to be spot on, than for Ford to have to make excuses.

That's easy for me to say, as I don't have an order in, so I can appreciate that patience will be wearing thin for those that do.

:)

I've said it before and I will say it again - This is the weirdest release of any car I've ever followed.

I cant figure out if they are trying a new approach or if they are playing catch up.

If I could cross my arms and blink like on I dream of genie I would but even when they do get the cars(press) it will take some time to test... most they can do is give you a preliminary... but that is what alot of us have already seen in vids so far

To me, the timing follows a traditional new model year fall introduction. I just think that with the proliferation of instant information, people have grown accustomed to getting what they want when they want it, and frankly they can sometimes be a little needy and greedy. Just as this has changed the daily news cycle, its changing the way customers research and buy cars. The OEMs are still trying to figure out how to best handle it. On one hand, they play it close to the vest to keep the competition from knowing too much too soon, and to promote sales of existing models. On the other, they want to please potential buyers and keep their interest. The trouble with tipping their hand too soon is that people seem to have ever shorter attention spans, and they drift away if they aren't constantly fed. So, they have to strike a balance, and as people become ever more used to having what they want when they want it, this situation will happen more and more. I say cut them some slack...

We know exactly where they are - Flat Rock Assembly Plant. As said elsewhere, Ford is diligently making sure that all processes are sorted out and once they're happy with the cars, they will release them. Its not that complicated to understand - it just requires patience. I've seen how this works first hand - there are a number of issues and adjustments that are being worked right now, and they people involved are working very hard at it. This is what takes place every time a new model is launched, I'm sorry that it upsets you. But, I think you'd be more upset to receive a car sooner, but then have to bring it back to the dealer 5 times for recalls...

The launch was messed up by the 50th Anniversary... They originally wanted the car available for , but engineering/styling etc took long April er to sign off than was expected. This as pushed back the production, but Ford still wanted to show something early, which has drawn out the launch.

Impatient much? You don't even have an order yet.

I've been drooling since the Renders last fall. While enduring 5 months from December and no info until May. Where I then had to work to find any info on the LE and have now been waiting since 5/13....

I'm sorry most people have the "I want it now attitude" I'd rather Ford put out a quality product instead of rushing things and making claims that no review can backup *cough hellcat cough*

Go buy an S197 already since you dislike so much about the S550. It seems every other post you have something to complain about.

I don't need some magazine to tell me if the 2015 Mustang is any good. The most recent video speaks more than any review. The Non-Performance pack GT handles that course like a monster.

Here's your review. It's quicker around a track than a BOSS 302. It has evolved and improved in every category. Will everyone buy it? No they have other brands for those people who believe in being price gouged for brake packages or put out every vehicle with below par quality.
