So tonight I decided to take my car to a drive in movie, and in a moment of absent mindedness thought the dash would be a good place to put an open box of reeces pieces. Unfortunately they eventually spilled and I fear one or two may have fallen into the front windshield defroster vent. Is there any way to retrieve these? Nothing was visible looking down on the vents from above, I fear they may have fallen deeper in...

I'm more curious as to how you were able to turn off your DRL to be at a drive-in. I went once and basically had to cycle the electric only mode every 20 minutes.

Oh I know! It was pretty annoying. I ended up keeping the car turned off but just pressed the power to keep the radio on every 15 mins or so (or adjusted the volume every now and again to keep it from turning off).

Reese’s fit through the defroster vent opening?

Just curious:
Since the mishap, with everything off in the car (including HVAC system), when you go into turns or sharp curves, do you hear anything rattling in the HVAC system? I’m just wondering if you thought some fell in, but in all actuality nothing fell in and you scooped them all up.

The only way to retrieve them would be to remove the HVAC system, which does require removal of the dash.
