Have you bothered looking at the configurator to see what I'm talking about? I don't see how the confusion isn't present. It's now settled thanks to DS posting the OG below, showing that you need both options in place in order to have the redline Recaros in the first place. Basically, there must be an error in the configurator, because you can select redline Recaros which then changes just the front and back seats. In the configurator, when you select the premier trim after you select redline Recaros, the door cards then turn red and you can see the red dash stitching appear. Apparently this shouldn't happen; all of these changes should take place after ticking off the redline Recaro box at the bottom. That's where the confusion started.

Thank you for this. This clears it all up.
You're welcome, I do what I can with the information that is available

Well the Redline Recaro Debate is Closed. It Gets the Red Door Inserts after all. I Don't think it looks Right with the All Black Interior. I think it would have looked better with just Red Stitching on the Door inserts Myself.

I know it feels like we are beating a dead horse here, but I have a hard time believing this one example answers the question at hand though.... Why is there the option on the build and price page to select the "Premier Trim with Color Accent Group" which adds the red door panels and $395 to the cost after selecting the Redline Recaro seat option?

Is there any way to get a hold of the window sticker or build sheet to see exactly how the car was spec'd out for the media review?

I have yet to place my order until I know for sure what color the door panels are going to be. I know it is a minor detail to some, but I am not in a hurry to spend $40k for something that I am not 100% sure what it will look like. Not to mention I am currently deployed overseas until later this winter, so I have time to wait.

Because it's simply a website error. In the order guide you can't get redline without ordering premier trim.

When you select recaros you lose the premier redline package so I dont see the confusion. Premier redline is only on the standard leather seats. Recaro redline is seperate, and doesnt add any coloring to the leather. Only the stitching changes.
This is a hard thing to explain, apparently. The problem is the PCAG Redline interior and the Recaro Redline option seem to be fairly different. Here's what I think I understand. Feel free to throw rocks if you know better, LOL.

68B PCAG Redline: Red seating surfaces, front and rear. Red door cards with soft-touch upper doors. Red stitching on the dash, console and the black part of the seats. (Maybe a few other red accents, don't hate.)

Recaro Redline: This is a PCAG variant so it has the soft-touch uppers. Door cards are red (see TFL video review of the EB PP here: http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php/fast-lane-car-3693.html?t=3693), seating surfaces front and rear are black. RECARO stitching on the front seats is red, as are stitching on the dash and console.

I believe those are the major differences.

I've emailed Ford Corporate to see if they can clarify whether or not the website is in fact wrong...... we'll see if I get a response.

Just saw a Recaro Redline car

Hello all,

I've been reading these forums for a while now. I work at a hi-line auto dealer in Beverly Hills and by pure chance a journalist from Holland just stopped by in a Deep Impact Blue EcoBoost Premium with PP & Recaros. It had red stiching on the seats and the door panels were red leather. I was busy with a client, so didn't have time to take photos. I spoke with the journalist briefly and he wasn't too impressed with the EcoBoost powertrain (he didn't think it felt like 300+ hp), but he did rate the V8 he drove earlier today. All the media cars are at a hotel about three miles from my work, so I may head over tomorrow to check out all the color combos!

Merged. See pictures in this thread as well as some members' photos here - the vehicles with the red line option are noted in the description. One more of red line with Recaros:

That's the nicest interior photo I've ever seen for the S550. Great lighting.
