I'm getting a non R 350 but really like the looks of the Rs red calipers. Anyone know if there are any differences in the calipers themselves or an estimate as to what it would cost to get the R calipers?

Painting is always an option too but IDK anyone that can and keep the Brembo logo.

You can have them powder coated and keep the Brembo logo. They apply the vinyl then clear coat over it.

that or get lucky and find an R owner who doesnt care for the red and might swap calipers.

I love the red as well.

Any Idea what this costs? I want my calipers done in blue like on M BMW's or Maserati's.
That's like asking what it would cost to re-spray an entire car.

Are you removing the calipers and bringing them in?

Including pistons, dust seals and disassemble?

Do you want a multi-coat system such as some of the metallics?

Long story short, I've had many items powder coated and have some ideas what those shops would charge based on what I want. However you're going to have to get your hands dirty and do some legwork on shops in your area.

I'm probably one of the few people that prefers the standard grey brembos over the R's red. I would trade....if I ever get the R.

I called this week and a dealer said he make my 2016 calipers red for $600.00. When I asked why so much I think I remember him saying:

Remove all calipers
Prep by roughing surface of existing surfaces so they get a good stick
Then a few coats of high temperature pain - I forget what the specific paint was
Reassemble after complete

Give Brian a call. High temp powdercoat is the way to go. Paint will not be as durable and not look as good. Many more examples of his work on svtperformance forums.

I would be hesitant to go there based on a thread I read over on SVTP...I'm glad he did good work for you but I would stay away right now until he gets everything in order and can keep up with his current work.

I would not do this, taking them a part is asking for trouble.. I would and I will have mine painted on the car. I have seen them do it, and they have brembo "stincles" not sure how to spell it. They put red down first, then the brembo stincles then paint white, remove the stincles, then clear the whole brake...looks great and saves a little $$ (not much) but it is much quicker. Im going to have it done the first week I have my car. Below is my Aston Martin, it had Black/white brakes, I wanted Yellow ...and this is how I did it. If you were in Texas you can go to Complete Customs they can do it for you
