I swear stiffer sway bars was the most noticeable thing I did to my old ecoboost. It stayed so flat while cornering. That car was a daily driver for me and I kind of regretted doing one in lowering springs as I rubbed on some speed bumps and driveways. I've left my GT mostly stock asides from a tune and resonator delete. I think this time I'm personally going to take the route of learning to be a better driver rather than compensate with mods first. I'd recommend going to a track day or auto cross event if you haven't before. Try and learn the limits of the car the way it is now, then do some mods once you can safely push it to its limits.

That is great advice. I haven’t auto crossed this car, after my Focus ST I’m not sure this would be as fun, honestly. But at Road Atlanta this thing is fun but understeers even worse than the PP1 did stock. I drove my old PP1 at RA and VIR.

The mountain runs are quick drives with friends, nothing that comes close to approaching limits

I also, came from the Focus ST world. Not one, but two of them over the years…

I had 2 of them too. Both were ST1’s I’m too fat for the Recaro’s 😂

My 2014 was a great car, just bolt ons and a tune and Steeda springs.

The second was a 2017. This was my favorite, 2867r, AWE touring resonated, BC coilovers, and a few other things. I regret selling this one.

lol, oh man we need to have a couple old fashioned’s and chat about this…

the 2018 MM one I posted was my first, with cloth non-recaros and completely stock until I traded her in. The 2015 Screaming Tangerine was stock (with leather Recaros) for a short time, but left me with a 2867R and all the associated upgrades, to include RS wheels and tires.

I figured it would add some NVH despite the advertisement claims. Thank you for your feedback.

I love me some C7 (I’m looking at a C7 GS actually) but for fun curvy roads and mountain runs, I’d probably go with an R before a C7. Plus with an R, you don’t need to go out and replace your current wardrobe with New Balance and jorts.
Coincidentally, NB are actually back in style. As long as you don't buy the ones with the straps. lol

I got some bad news from the doctor, I had a seizure out of the blue a couple weeks ago and Ga law says no driving for 6 months. My job is working with me and letting me take a different roll so I can keep working and not sit at home on short term.

with that said, I'm thinking about making a few changes over the next 6 months since my car will just be sitting here. What I'd like to achieve is a fun street driven car that's a fun all around car. I go on mountain runs a few times a year, I like curvy back roads, and do go to Road Atlanta once or twice a year.

There are a few things requirements, I don't want to lower the car much since my second house is down a dirt road and the angle in the driveway is very close to rubbing as is. I'm willing to give up some of the cushy ride I have now, a firm ride is good with me. Wheels and tires will be a consideration, but that will likely be the last to happen and probably go to something like a Conti ExtremeContact DWS06 due to my car being a daily first and foremost.

As for the car, it's a 2022 GT 401a A10 with 3.15 gears, Non PP. The only mods so far are catback exhaust and a GT500 Swing. I do currently have the optional 20" wheels.

My current plans are subframe lockouts, Steeda minimum drop springs, bilstein shocks/struts, and steeda sway bars. What recommendations do you all recommend?
my 21 gt is a 300A car with 10r80 and 3:15 rear gears,i added ford performance strut tower brace(with cowl brace),factory PP-1 LOWER K-BRACE and splash shield, ford performance PP-2 REPLICA WHEELS(19X9.5/10) with MICHELIN PS4S(255/275)STEEDA MINIMUM DROP SPRINGS with ford performance M-18000-F(TRACK STRUTS/SHOCKS)FORD PERFORMANCE BY BORLA SPORT axelbacks(black tips)factory GT350 TRACK PACK REAR SPOLIER and AIR DESIGN front splitter...my car rides better than any pp-1 that i have personally driven!

Strangely, I have lots of fun driving on the street with a stock setup.
Stock is great I just wanted shiny parts incl yellow Bilsteins. Ordered Falken FL510 to hopefully smooth ride out in the city on B6, since they have reputation for softer ride.

I think the Pzero AS Plus 3 are actually for crossover and SUV while Pzero AS is for cars....my mistake. A lot of tire companies are switching to synthetic rubbers because cheaper and they can compete with CN who is friends will all the producing countries buying 45-65% of all production as part of their Belt and Road trade deals.

i started building tires at DUNLOP in 1973,synthetic rubber was always added to all componets of tires when i worked at that factory.

Installed the 245-40-19 Falken FK510 today. Driving around town at 33 psi they are way smoother than Pzero AS Plus 3. Still firm with B6 but the harshness from sharp bumps edges etc is 80% gone and barely feel the small bumps that used to be annoying before.

Pzero AS Plus 3 lost 3/32 tread in three months.
