There is a corner property across the street from our subdivision that is about fifty acres or so. At one time, it was spectacular and I regularly drooled over it when driving by and wishing we could own it but unfortunately, when the original owner passed away, the property became overgrown and not so pretty. Then, to make matters worse, the very large, unoccupied home caught fire and pretty much burned to the ground.
Jumping forward to the past week when I saw a couple crews mowing, trimming trees, cutting down dead ones, and generally cleaning up the property, no doubt in advance of putting it on the market.
Then yesterday, a friend of mine and I had planned to get some wiring issues in our attic taken care of which meant moving the cars out of the garage. I started to park MYSARAH out in the driveway but since she was still clean, I decided to go up the road a piece and get some photos of her in front of some seriously expensive five-plus acre multi-million dollar properties.
But as I pulled on to the road in front of our subdivision, I immediately saw that the gate at the burned house property was wide open and, the driveway was clear of brush, etc., so I decided to sneak in there and grab the photos. BTW, the main reason for this photo shoot was that I just picked up my first mirrorless DSLR camera, a Fujifilm X-E5. It came with a pancake 28mm/2.8 kit lens and I also picked up a 33mm/1.4 as well. I love the classic rangefinder design but the innards are 2025 tech. It's an APS-C 40megapixel X sensor and coupled with the two lenses, generates some most amazing images. Here are a few. (I'll quickly determine if the forum is set up to accept images that large and convert them to .webp format. <fingers crossed> Spoiler alert..it took the huge files without breaking a sweat.) ;=)
