I test drove both, I like the Recaro's but the thing is they are about as basic a seat as ever conceived. The Recaro's in other top line cars have power and multiple adjustments, but having basically a 2 adjustment seat sucks for me, just doesn't work. It isn't about memory for me, its about the ability to set a seat adjustment perfectly to fit my comfort level, something I have been doing for 30+ years. I think the Recaro for track is perfect, I will probably buy one for the drivers side when I get my car to switch out for the track but for the 99% of the time im not on the track the standard premium seats are perfect.

As a lifetime owner of two door cars and the slightest OCD, this is one of my most dreaded nightmares. I could swear for weeks my seat was not the same.
100% agree. Every time the car wash people move it, it never feels right for weeks!

I drove a PP both with and without Recaros and although the base seats aren't bad, the recaros felt way better to me (so i got them lol). My car is also a daily and just for reference, I'm 6'6 with a 38ish inch waist and have no problems fitting comfortably.

I test drove a car with recaros, and the side bolsters cut into my kidneys too much to be comfortable for daily driving. I'm 6'3 with a 38 inch waist. I opted for the regular seats (leather) and they are comparable to my old 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse bucket seats in terms of side bolstering. Definitely more comfortable for daily driving (and have cooling/heating!). They still hug the back and sides, just not as extremely as the recaros. Your best bet would be to test drive both.
After 2-3 weeks of that, they "give" a little bit, and feel much MUCH nicer ;)
