Last week I got a letter from Ford saying to call the dealer to schedule an appointment for the two recalls my car currently has (front brakes squealing and high underbody temp), so I made an appointment for today (keep in mind I live 45 minutes away from the dealer. I get to the dealership and the service advisor I setup the appointment comes out and looks at the car and then says thanks for bring the car down, but we don't have any parts for the recalls yet. He proceeds to tell me that Ford requires them to see the vehicle in person before they can created RO for the parts. Anyone else ever here of this procedure or is this a line of bullshit. I have had multiple recall work done on other vehicles and I have never heard of this.
