I'm interested in shedding some weight off my gt and was looking at the rear seat delete kit offered on American muscle. I then read some reviews saying they cheap and flimsy so now I'm wondering if I should even get that kit. I like to throw my dog in the back seat from time to time so I'm looking for a more durable kit that won't break if my 50 pound dog is sitting on it. Does anyone know of a company who makes a nice sturdy kit?

Your best bet is either making your own kit or buying the kit off AM or LMR and re-enforcing it with some plywood. None of the kits your buy are gonna be built to do anything but drop weight

I seen that one aswell. I was hoping a company made a stronger kit. I think thats the same kit AM and LMR sell isnt it?
I had the SP kit for my old GTO and I was able to sit on the thing and I weigh 200lbs. Didn't even break a sweat, but that was just for a few minutes.

I've had a set of wheels/tires back there pushing 100lbs and a 50lb toolbox and it handled those just fine.

FYI for those looking for a more sturdy unit that might not save as much weight as the others but at least it's useful.
