With the top down with the wind, the top of vertical panel of the rear seat delete flexes and makes contact with the front of the convertible top(areas circled in blue) and it wore a hole in the carpet of the vertical delete panel. And with the delete carpet being so cheap and thin, it wore a hole rather quickly. Fortunately, it didn't damage the front of the convertible top because I caught it early.
