Rear Quarter Window not seating properly

This is my first convertible (2016 GT) and have had it for about 2 months...bought certified used with 9k miles. I noticed right away that the rear passenger window rolls up slower than the driver window, and I had to hold the button a little longer to get it to move to it's final position. Recently I noticed it never gets there, and it results in about a 1/8" gap between the front passenger window and the rubber seal on the rear window. I can pull the rear window into place, but the motor will not push it there anymore.

Is this something simple to repair like something needs lubricated or cleaned, or is this going to be me tearing apart the rear to get to the mechanics. I'm under warranty so if it's all that I'll let the dealer fight it, but if it's simple I'd rather save the trip and hassle.
