Rear quarter window louvers

I have been an avid fan of the late Steve McQueen and his movies. One of my dreams was to actually own one of the cars he drove in the Bullitt movie, but was not the case as I wasn’t born when the movie came out. Fast forward today, I happily own a 2019 Bullitt with a heritage going back to the movie. However, since not finding a 1967 Mustang with a 390cid motor in good condition is near impossible and I love that styling of the model so I can only dream. I have been rewatching the Bullitt movie and noticed the rear quarter windows with louvres and wanted to mimic that sort of styling on my Bullitt, just to give it a sort of vintage look, but uniqueness from other Bullitts. I would paint the lovers the same DHG as the rest of the car to match.

I am the type of guy that makes very subtle changes not to change the look of the car to make it like a different car, but I think his would be a good fit to give it a bit more of a Bullitt presence. Your thoughts?

Thanks for the reply. Would you happen to have a picture of your louvres? What brand did you go with? Still shopping around on the best looking ones.

Still on the fence on this one, whether to put them or or not. The best ones I have found that closely match the original are these from AM

Out of those two, I like the Cervini ones. The other brand looks like it sticks further out

Nice one spider, They look good in the Bullitt green, I never thought of that. I used cheap Chinese Cervini rip offs as I wanted to see what they looked like before committing to the expensive ones, these cost about £100 all in. Pic attached comments welcome.

I am not sure about the Cervinis as they look retro but not retro. Still looking for that retro look any ideas would be great!
