I'll see if I can get a pic or two when I get off work tonight. My buddy is about 5'9" and we did notice that there is not much headroom now in the back when he rode in it for the test drive.

I don't have a picture, but I managed to 'fit' my 6'1" bulk in the back and headroom was not good... My 11 year old should fit. I would think that 5'8" would be at the upper limit of comfortable.

Very tight fit. I'm 5'10" and I couldn't sit straight up. Wish I had a picture.

I am 5'5" and my bald head just touched the roof! In my 2007, I had plenty of room (when I tried it out). The salesman I talked with said he thought the tighter headroom was the result of the new fastback sculpturing, and that it brought the rear pillars closer together, not to mention the overall lowering of the body. Young kids, maybe, but average size adults will not enjoy their time back there!

As I've said in another thread, I'm 5'6" 155lb and found that I had just a few inches to spare. I actually hit my head when adjusting my self in the seat. I was not uncomfortable back there at all, but anyone taller than me will probably fell different. I only took pics of the leg room which I found pretty generous.

Funny, the first thing I noticed when I opened the door and flipped a seat forward was that the front seat was within an inch of touching the rear seat. Obviously could move it up a bit, but I think this rear seat is a bit tighter than even the tight rear seats of the past. Heck, I could actually sit in the rear of my Fox hatches. That's not gonna happen in this car. NOT looking forward to cleaning the inside of the rear window, LOL.

I just rode in the back today while my girl drove and the salesman rode in the front passenger seat. I'm 6' and I had to lean forward with my head tilted to the side. The 3rd brake light mounted in the top of the rear window takes away about an inch of rear headroom. My current 2011 is ok for me in the back seat.

Except in absolute emergencies, I never put more than one person in back -- lying sideways normally works for them to be comfortable.

my 11 fits me at 6'4 in the back and my friends are also all 6'0-6'3 guess they got to just use their own cars when/if i buy one

I should have clarified that I adjusted the driver's seat to a comfortable position for myself then moved to the rear seat (driver's side) which left me with a comfortable amount of rear leg room to spare. Obviously with the front seat in the farthest rear position no one is going to have any leg room. I think the rear head room, not the leg room will be the limiting factor on how comfortable the rear seat passengers will be.

I sat in the driver seat of a 15 at a local dealership and adjusted the seat to a comfortable position then looked at the leg room behind me. There wasn't any. I'm 6'4" and I'm not sure my 8 year old will fit behind me. I KNOW my 11 year old wont.
I told the wife already that when all 5 of us are there (weekend visits with 11 yr old) she would have to take her car. Also told her we have to get a seat protector for my daughters car seat. Those seats are way too nice to mess up.
I sure am glad I will only ever sit in the drivers seat.

I'm 5'8" my wife is 5'7" we sat in the back and decided that there aren't enough headroom for an adult. our heads barely fit where the rear windshield meets the roof. I don't know how these 6 footers are fitting in the backseat... I felt claustrophobic and couldn't sit there for 1 minutes while the car was parked.. I don't know how any adult will fit comfortably while the car is moving.

This was also my experience. I am 6'2". In the new car, I am thinking that my friends who've sat in the back of my 2010 who are less than 5'7" are going to fit in the new car. Any taller than that and they are going to have to lean their head forward. With the front seats moved up a bit, they'll have the legroom OK.
