Hi all,

Just installed a set of OEM Handling pack wheels with 285/35/19 front and 325/30/19 rears (Firestone Firehawk Indy's). After the wheels/tires were installed, I noticed a weird feeling when shifting or coming off throttle. It feels as if the rear end does a slight wiggle. Doesnt matter if its full throttle or slight throttle however it is more pronounced with more throttle input. Only notice it when going straight. Didn't notice it with the stock Mach 1 wheels and tires.

After doing some research, I've checked the following:

1. Confirmed the tires were installed and oriented correctly
2. Checked tq on all lug nuts
3. Jacked up each corner and grabbed each wheel and tire to check for play (wheel bearings)

I have not taken it in for an alignment check but that is next on my list.

Any ideas? Could the increased tire sizes affect the advancetrac? I havent seen any TC or advance trac lights flash as im feeling "the wiggle".

Appreciate the help in advance!

Tire pressure is 35 psi all around and no noises whatsoever.

So I’m not real smart but if you went with OEM HP wheels then why didn’t you use the OEM front tire size. I’m not implying that’s your issue but just curious.

your IRS/diff needs to get buttoned down for starters. But I suspect you have something very much out of kilter on alignment. While you're in there get a healthy amount of camber (see BMR recommended) and make EXTRA attention to front and rear toe. Toe destroys tires, camber doesn't.

Firestone doesnt make the Indy 500s in the stock OEM HP tire sizes. My only options were michelins PS4s or Continentals which are both great tires however for the street, I've had great luck with the Indy 500s and the value is great.
