I got my Pro-Action fixed shocks/struts/shock mounts installed a couple weeks ago. I have a clunking sound coming from both sides of the rear whenever going over larger bumps. I first noticed it going on and off the incline of my driveway, but you can still hear it during normal driving if the bumps are large enough. I didn't have the issue with the stock PP shocks. I have Eibach Pro-Kits and moved the bumpstops over as well. Any idea what this could be?

Not tightened properly. Either to the car or the top nut.

Only 4 bolts or one nut on each side to check. Not much else to cause the issue. My money is on the top nut also.

It's hard to tighten the top rear shock locking nuts with Steeda shock mounts. You need to be able to put wrench on the shock shaft while you tightening the locking nut. You can do this using this tool https://www.ecstuning.com/b-schwaben-parts/strut-nut-socket-21mm/003046sch01a-03/. Steeda should be recommending this tool when you order the shock mounts. Its a deep 21mm socket with a window cut in it so you can put a wrench on the shock shaft. you should also use Loctite Thread locker Blue 242.

Agree! I have a 19mm socket for my front-end and now wish I had the 21mm for the rear.

I got my rear end together okay. No rattles or noises. In hindsight I should have put some blue threadlocker on there since there is only room for one lock nut. I have the special nut/spacer combo there and a lock nut on top.

RonStang6G they just announced their own set of them in a few different sizes for a tad cheaper than what you linked too.

Can find the different sizes on this page.

This good that Steeda now offers these sockets. I went to the Steeda website but I could not easily find these sockets even though I knew that they are available. Also the sockets are not referenced on any of the website pages for shock mounts themselves or the shock mount install instructions. The locking nut coming loose on billet shock mounts has been a problem since the first day the shock mounts were released. I had this problem two years ago when I installed my Pro-Action Shocks & Struts with 12mm Billet Shock Mounts. I found the solution to this problem here on this forum two years ago but Steeda still lags behind in informing their customers about how to prevent this problem in the first place.

We just listed them today. Will fine tune the search for them on the site.
Search by P/N listed they will come up. Thanks everyone for your comments we are listening.

The best,
