So the 5th gen Camaro beat the 6th gen mustang on a sub 40 second lap by 3 tenths and that is a win for the Mustang? I am so confused.....

I'm not sure where you see a win at... I seen the GT win last year. What I said was, the vehicles in FS have no advantage over one another. It completely contradicts Motor Trends report as did thePill months ago. The GTPP Premium in that test was on 0.25 seconds behind the 1LE. It was a Premium and it had 12 gallons of fuel.

Events that happen in magazines are about as critical as an event in a comic book. This is reality, basically, what thePill said last year is present in this October report.


Personally, if I do return, I want a great base for the least amount of money. The Camaro doesn't offer anything useable except the 1LE.

They also explain the benefits of a wider track and shorter wheelbase. Things most don't know...

So since the 6th gen SS is faster than the 5th gen 1LE, and that is just as fast, if not faster than the S550, how is that a loss? I cannot follow, and neither can anyone else here. Just because some GTs beat the 1LE around coned tracks in the parking lots of their local SAMs club, does not mean anything lol. I am sure some RX-8s are faster around those "tracks" too haha.

As far as the gas goes, Motortrend (who you only believe when it suits your narrative) said their .1 for every 4 gallons was a rough estimate, AND it was around a much longer track. So 4 gallons around a coned parking track would barely be noticed if at all.

Stick to the things the Camaro is legit bad at. Sight lines, storage, looks (if they're not your cup of tea). But performance out of the box is not a legit concern. It is better than the GT in every measurable way. :cheers:

Sure, anything to silence a source that shows Motor Trend and popular media is full of sh!t.

I myself would want to know how and why a 2015 GTPP Premium is just as fast as a 1LE. Especially if I subscribed to that theory...

The SCCA is pretty firm on this. The 5th Gen FE4 SS, 1LE and 6th Gen SS are FS material. I don't care if most people thought the 1LE was faster... it simply isn't.

If it was faster, it would be placed in a class above FS. The honest truth? The 1LE and '16 SS belong in FS. Just based on their performance alone...

You are right there. They are basically the same, with the ever so slight nod to the 1LE. But that was a fifth gen. The 6th Gen is faster. Why are you ok with the performance pack of the 6th gen being even with the performance pack of the 5th gen Camaro? I know I would not be.

I did not make up this report. It is a Test and Tune conducted by the SCCA to determine class eligibility.

It would take more than a 3700-3800lbs SS to make me "run off". The expense they had to pay to achieve that is lunacy.

This is the real world brother, this has been happening since the mid-60's... As far as I know. Of course people are upset and don't understand why this is. A major media outlet has been saying different.

Truth be told, the 2016 SS is no faster than the 2011 E92 M3 they tested. Which is why the 2016 SS went to FS :lol:

Why remove thePill? Because you can't explain the SCCA's results? Because thePill warned the 2016 SS was no faster? Because the dimensions I gave on this monster were correct? Because the GT350 slaughtered the overpriced z28? Because none of Chevy's vehicles perform as advertised, exception Corvette? Because thePill said people would buy it?

Seems like it's easier to remove someone than debate the arguement. If the 2016 SS was so fast, it wouldn't be in FS...

With less than a full tank, manual, and 1SS is considerable less than 3,700 but ok. Also there is not a 6th gen Camaro out right now that is 3,800. The heaviest we have seen is 3,765.
