Re-tune?

Hello everyone,
I just picked up a new upper and lower grille that will open up air flow to my intake. My question is, will the added air flow cause me to need a new tune on my car?

Depending on your intake your tuner may blame the turbulence for any issues you see

Nope you won't need a new tune.

Consider this: Your car has too adjust for tempature and air density all the time just from the weather and time of day.

Opening it up to more ambient air, won't really increase the velocity etc etc. It MIGHT mitigate some higher temps around the intake from the engine heat. Allowing the air entering to be slightly cooler and more dense. But this would be marginal at best. The difference between Air at 5am vs 3pm is a more drastic change.

(Disclaimer: I'm sure their are instances where opening up to air flow is major and may require tweaking...but I suspect the OP isn't John Force )

Just a JLT CAI. I’m actually thinking more air will help, but I agree with what you said. Once I get it all installed I’ll see what happens and report back…thank you!
