Hi guys was wondering if someone had an idea as to where this smell could be coming from. When I start the car after a couple of seconds I can smell fuel from the drive side of the car (RHD) I checked the fuel rail and nothing seemed to be leaking there checked the lines and can’t seem to find a leak was wondering if I’m missing something here ?

Also that only happens the first time I start the car if I let it sit if I turn it off and then on again the fuel wir ratio goes back up to 14 and no smell

Buddy, you're going to get much better help, if you put the details of your car in your signature line. And include any mods.

Raw fuel out the back of the exhaust or raw fuel in the engine?

It’s not from the back it’s the strongest next to the wing mirror
So you have a leak somewhere, for sure. You’ll have to just work your way along the fuel line all the way from the back of the car to the front.
It’s the only way to be sure that you find the issue(s)

The line runs along the drivers side up behind the fender liner and then into the engine. So it makes sense that you’re smelling it there.

Oh okay btw it’s a RHD but I’m assuming the fuel lines would still be on the left side of the car same as the US specs ?

Ah I didn’t catch that you’re in the UK.

it could be either I’m not sure, look under the car and on one side or the other there will be a long plastic cover held on by a few self tapping screws. Under there should be some brake lines and the fuel line. That’s where you want to start looking. The line is continuous all the way until it gets into the motor so I wouldn’t expect a leak anywhere but inside the engine compartment.

What you can do is cycle the car into accessory mode and then off. That will prime the low pressure fuel pump and help you find leaks. Look everywhere that there is a connector.

If you can’t find the leak then it could be on the high side, which is all of the hard lines and manifolds after the high pressure fuel pump. You should be able to see a leak while the motor is running in that case

What side is your fuel pump on? The US cars have the pump on the Drivers side, and the fuel line is the same. Lift up the back seat and look for the connector to the pump bucket and FPDM. Not to be confused with the rubber seal and level sender from the opposite side.

Check your spark plugs. On the trucks loose plugs will cause a fuel smell.
