I ran a 13.55 108mph with a 2.2 60' time in 3000' DA about 2 weeks ago. This was on the stock GTPP Pirelli's. Car is stock engine wise but I have a resonator delete and roush AB plus some Steeda suspension bits.

I've done a 1.88 60' on the stock 255 summer PZeros on my 2011 but that was thanks mostly to the awesome track prep at MIR. If your track has bad prep you'll have a tough time getting any sort of decent launch. Talk to the other racers next time you go and get a feel for the prep.

that will be harder to do on IRS. While possible, a lot of drag racers don't have the skill to do what you did even on the s197. Most people are not good at drag racing, unfortunately.

very true. Its definitely a skill that's learned.

And OP, your 60' was what hurt you. PSI was too high, and what reason is there for not doing a burnout? :eyebulge:

Summer tires don't need to be heated up (at least at the drag strip). Better off going around the waterbox if possible. If there is no way around it, a little spinning helps dry them off. No actual burn out needed.

well yeah, that's what I was referring to : spinning em off, sorry. Just seems odd to jump from waterbox (wet tires) to trying to launch, especially on a 'high PSI' tire.

ah. I think its dumb when some tracks have the mandatory drive through the box. Most people there are on summers anyway. Make it optional. It doesn't affect me I go with slicks but its unfair to others that don't.

exactly! Then you gotta spin em off, and its just extra work. Had a buddy almost get kicked out because he didn't want to drive through the box.

'sir, its track policy'

'buddy I'm paying to be here, fuck off' (probably wasn't the best response) hahahahaha

Thats like saying drag radials dont need heated up,try launching with the pzero at regular temp even summer time, then warm them up and see what happens,on top off not being able to go around the water and u can forget hooking up.Try driving on the pzero cold once.

I share his sentiment but I don't think id have said that either.

Okay, I guess my 10,000+ passes mean I don't know what im talking about. Carry on. Drag radials are an entirely different story.

I'm so tired of hearing this. I've driven in pzeros cold, on radials cold, on radials in torrential downpours, hell even attempted to drive on radials IN SNOW (didn't work, lol)

what's your point?
