If your talking about a STOCK stalled auto-late model Mustang that statement is debatable at best. A heavily modded automatic transmission car is not going to be faster ever and the stock late model car will still sixty a couple tenths faster with the slicks. You'll cut 1.6 sixtys on slicks with these cars. Most people are lucky to get 1.7s out of a drag radial. Im fairly sure that anyone claiming drag radials are faster has never even used slicks and this Mustang is probably the fastest car they have ever owned in their lives.:shrug:An auto car will definitely run faster with a drag radial than a slick. But if you're running a manual transmission a slick will be more forgiving especially on these half shafts.
