An auto car will definitely run faster with a drag radial than a slick. But if you're running a manual transmission a slick will be more forgiving especially on these half shafts.
If your talking about a STOCK stalled auto-late model Mustang that statement is debatable at best. A heavily modded automatic transmission car is not going to be faster ever and the stock late model car will still sixty a couple tenths faster with the slicks. You'll cut 1.6 sixtys on slicks with these cars. Most people are lucky to get 1.7s out of a drag radial. Im fairly sure that anyone claiming drag radials are faster has never even used slicks and this Mustang is probably the fastest car they have ever owned in their lives.

What are you talking about? Pick your battles? Track prep is completely out of your control! You show up and run the track. Good or bad prep! I drive a stalled auto transbraked car. And have no clue where your getting any of this stuff you just typed about auto cars being faster on a radial. Why is a slick faster on a stick shift car but not an automatic??? I leave at the same 5000RPMs as a guy in a stick shift car! How many top fuel dragsters are running a drag radial if their so great? For that matter any NHRA class? The only reason anyone would choice a radial over slicks is if they are running in a class that requires Radials. Or they have a need to clear bigger brakes. Where are you guys getting this nonsense?
Track prep is plentiful at good tracks, you have to go where the glue is,im spoiled
my local track is one of the best in the country and if you read my post you would have seen
where i said SMALL TIRE CARS as in Mustangs......
The fastest small tire cars are 100% of the time on radials and use automatics !@ and they dont run NHRA BS... NHRA can get fked !

Outlaw radial cars are running 2 speed autos on 275s and running low 4s in the 8th
Not with a slick and def not with a clutch

comprende or do I need to show you on youtube for you to grasp?

thata an outright lie.
show me your fastest 10" slick car and I will show you a radial car
much faster .....try it

Another retarded reply. As soon as you said NHRA can get f*$ked I figured you didn't have a clue. Another youtube professional. "I'll show you some random ass youtube video to prove my point, LOLOLOLOL Grasp that! Comprende el stupido. try looking up 10.5 outlaw cars and see whats the fastest. Go ahead i'll wait. or better yet. I'll run you in my slick car and you bring any car you own on DRs and we'll see how it works out for you personally. I cant line up against a random youtube video.

Lol whoa guys that got serious real quick! Honestly, trap speeds to me is not what I care about. If I run a 12.5 second quarter at 116 on radials (this is all hypothetical number I'm throwing out), but I run a 12 on slicks at 112. Guess what I don't give a rats ass what my speed was, if I car about my speed I'll throw my normal tires back on and go hit the highways or something. On BIG hp drag cars they all run slicks for a reason, they hook better and give you faster times, could you imagine what a top fuel car would do trying to run a set of radials?

I see im not the only one who gets a little emotional on here lol lol.Zzz Radials will never out perform slicks period.Put two perfectley equal cars together, one with slicks and one with radials and see what one wins. Now im talking cars with horsepower like our cars and above. All mph tells u is about what kind of hp ur car has.

Hmm, well lets see. I ran an 11.2 with my 2011 auto on a drag radial with stock 3.15's. 1.5 60ft. And that was N/A. So I know a thing or two on how to make these late model cars run.;)

10.5 is fast but behind radials now,100% no question about it .
The class is on life support actually, other than a few races up north
10.5 is toast.
Outlaw radial is the king of the small tire racing, has been for a few years.
Next week they all line up at SGMP for their fall race, these cars I speak of
will be running bottom 4s on 315 radials, def not NHRA track ,then they come
to my home track mid Oct where im certain you will see a few 3 if the air is good

Im not here to bash anyone or call you names like you have at me , im just telling it like it is..

As for lining up,our car is at the chassis shop getting some updates ,once were back up and running
you get back the tire for life son..... :)

Yep..You can find me there too

Who gives a shit about 8th mile? There are 10.5 slicks in the low 6s 1/4 at 230s mph. Where is there a radial that size doing that? Ive yet to see it anywhere on yellowbullet.
