I'm looking to do the same SCCA down here in FL, folks live in Olathe where can you run SCCA up there in KS/MO?
Check out this website. I stumbled on it while looking for SCCA stuff.

http://www.kcrscca.org/

They get together at various locations, but seem to gravitate to Metropolitan Community College campus out in Independence off 23rd Street.

I'm looking to AutoX (SCCA solo) with my 2015. I'm sure I can get by on the standard seats, but it won't be as good. Plus, I'd like to leave one nice heated/cooled seat in the passenger side for the wife and kids to enjoy.
Having autocrossed in the seats in 2 different SN-95 cars, I can say that the standard seats will be far superior to them, and it is a definite improvement over the current standard seats. I suppose it does matter how your body "architecture" fits according to the seat architecture :)

The seating position is different in the new car, and since both front seats now have power adjustments standard, that would seem to be a configuration that lends itself to make the car more palatable. Plus, as noted, you now have memory for seatback position, which is far more useful outside the race course venue.

Unless you have a more competition-focused use for your vehicle, these new seats are going to be nice.

Thanks, Tony. My concern is that if you look at hip and shoulder room, the 2015 has been "improved" and I'm not sure how that matches up with the seats. My 2013 seats are already a tad too wide, IMO, and I'm sure I'd be sliding all over the place if I tried to take this one out. IF the new seats are slightly wider, it could be a problem, even with better bolstering/comfort. That's why I wanted to look for replacements now so I can find what I need and start saving for a seat.

Here is what I noticed when I sat in the standard seats. I immediately felt the side bolsters and thought "Wow, that will be cool for autocross". Then after that, I noticed the seat bottom bolsters were just a step up from my current 2010, which is where I notice the sliding sensations. Depending on your body, you might notice it differently, of course. Where I really felt the change in room was in the leg area, especially on the right side. The center stack change was very noticeable to me. That is what made me feel "wow, more room in the front". It wasn't the seat itself. I've sat in pure racing seats and the current Recaros. I noticed the bolstering in the Recaros in the bottom seat cushion first. My wife and other front seat passengers (mine is a daily driver) would likely not appreciate them as much as I would.

This photo take someone took of me while I was sitting in it might illustrate this a bit.

Well, I have to admit, you're making me hopeful! I'm definitely looking forward to getting the 2015 and trying out that seat before I do anything. The only reason I didn't get the Recaros was because I knew they didn't include the memory recline feature and I figured I could probably find an aftermarket solution. Maybe I won't even have to. :D

I think that would be a good strategy. I really was impressed with the standard seats. I definitely understand the appeal of not sliding around during autocrossing. Ideally, if these seats had suede inserts, I think they would be a really good balance in comfort vs sporting function. However, I guess that would cancel out the heating/cooling function.

Just like many things, you have to find the right balance between street and track that works for you and your use case. My use case is more oriented toward the street end, but I do think that autocrossing will be more fun than in the current seats. Also, the smaller steering wheel and the improvements in the suspension should really make for an awesome total package.
