Good thing I checked that the adapter I bought doesn't fit before I took it to get the stuff installed. Does anyone happen to know the right size adapter while I wait for Raceseng to respond to my email? The one that's recommended according to their website is part number 081102, which is clearly the wrong one. It just slides up and down the shifter handle without threading on. It looks like 3/8"-16 is the right one from what I could find, which is part number 0811052. Can anyone verify this? Thanks.

3/8 x 16 is correct for the MGW flat stick. If you want the knob to screw down all the way, make sure it'll take an inch of the stick. Otherwise you'll have threads showing.

Ok. I just ordered one. I have to go buy a bolt and nut tomorrow to get the adapter out of the knob for the stock shifter. Came off with the knob when I was testing the fitment. Tried thread locking the adapter back onto the shifter handle, but didn't work.

If you still have your stock shifter, wouldn't that work the same as a new bolt? Hopefully the adapter isn't installed with Loctite.

The adapter is stuck inside the shift knob. There's nothing to grab onto to unthread it.

Maybe Raceseng will let you exchange the one you got for one with the proper threads... In the meantime you could go ahead and get the MGW installed with the Gripper ball or whatever MGW provided.

Probably. But I ordered one just incase. My install was supposed to be this Friday, but got pushed back a week because of complications with a car he's working on. Might be a chance he could still get me in this weekend, so I went ahead and ordered it anyway.
