I have a Raceseng weighted knob and I love it, I don’t want to get ride of it. It current has an adapter on the stock shaft that allows it to connect. I don’t have the specific size but it’s larger that the stock shaft. I’m thinking standard, would I use the adapter still or could I select an option that would fit it directly? thanks

I spoke directly to George about using the Raceseng I had and he said it wasn't a good idea with the push-down. It would put a lot of stress on the spring and wear it out over time. My Ashiko was 1.62 pounds, and this was his reply:

I will say though that if this raceseng knob is like a pound or more its not a good idea to work with a shifter with a push down because it puts a lot of stress on the return spring.

After I told him how heavy my Ashiko was:

that seems EXTREMELY heavy for a shift knob. WE suggest 3/4 pound max.
Our shifter with our weighted all stainless gripper is about 1/2 pound. It feels great.

I just got the MGW Low Profile X-Spec installed yesterday and chose the gripper ball with an aluminum topper. It's absolutely phenomenal and hands down the best shifter I've ever used.
That being said, to address your question about the Raceseng shift knob on an MGW, check out this video for more info (best thumbnail ever? :handsinair:):

That’s not a bad deal at all.
Which knob did you go with?

OBV don't have the reverse lockout out on the MGW but i kept the threads on the MGW to fit the stock shifter in the future if needed and for the raceseng I'm using the adaptor 081102 to fit the shifter and the raceseng knob
