lol. Wish I had coin for HRE's!I was being sarcastic hahhah
Glad to see you're on board and the patience paid off! That 2015 Mustang and race red paint is hard to beat, I almost bought a 2014 base model "race red" with the stick and charcoal interior. The one thing I did not like, was the shift linkage and long throw shift lever. The stick movement was harsh to say the least. I missed third gear every time I speed shift the car. To go to third cleanly you had to let off the gas in order to find third gear, That's why I passed on purchasing the 2014 base model Mustang.
Man oh man, I'm so glade I waited for the 2015 mustangs, I could have easily shot myself in the foot with the 2014 Mustang. I'm all in for the next generation mustang, I want the 5.0 liter, but not for $10,000 dollars above the V-6. I do not want the four cylinder turbo, eco boost engine either. But I do know that if I follow the steps that MMD did with there 2011 V-6 mustang.
The 2011 MMD project mustang went through five stages of modifications to a rive at 0 to 60 in 4.3 seconds and a 11.73 quarter mile time. That will beat a stock 5.0 liter engine hands down. I would stop at stage 3 or so and running in the low 13's and high 12 second runs after dialing every thing in. I'm a naturally aspirated guy don't care for super chargers and turbo chargers. High 12 second quarter mile times for a six cylinder 3.7 liter no less is impressive in my eyes
With that said, I have already picked out the exterior color "White" and also the charcoal black cloth seats for the interior. Word is a 3.15 gear is standard and a 3.55 optional rear set. A real true to life sports car from the roof to the chassis, double ball bearing adjustable front end, Independent rear end with limited slip differential. Larger brakes all new shocks and springs and rubber bushings. The way the 2015 L@@k's is sick to say the least.
The best Mustang Henry has ever built, Now with breaks to be competitive with the Z-28 Camaro. GM has always had bigger breaks because of the independent rear end. Ford Mustangs have always driven much better than the Camaro, the front steering is far superior to Camaro's steering. Now with all the new parts added for the 2015 stallion breaks as large as they want Hell this new Mustang beat our on Boss 302 lap after lap after lap. Why you ask? the breaks go a way on the boss mustang.
That is the main reason for the double ball bearing independent front and rear axel. The 2014 and back 10 years or so stopped making the independent set up until now. The whole reason for the all new s550 is to be able to use as large a brake set up as they want to use. With in the rules.Glad to see you're on board and the patience paid off!
Two things: one, why isn't the EB model appealing to you relative to the V6? I don't see a whole lot of people talk the latter mill up here. Two, as much as I'd love to see the S550 compete with a Z28 in the braking department, it's almost physically impossible. The Zed is running on track-biased P Zero Trofeo Rs, which are essentially hyper putty. The stoppers are also massive CCBs. Since braking is largely dictated by weight and grip provided the brakes themselves have enough strength to lock them up, there's no way that an S550 could keep up. Small sacrifice to pay in the end.![]()
Agreed and I think it will beat the 1le.I'm pretty sure the GT PP will be competing with the 1le not the z28. The z28 while heavy is extremely fast around the track. It's more of a job for the GT 350. The S550 isn't some miraculous new design. It's just a modern one, that the mustang needed very much.
That's a true statement for sure, but like I said the who ideal was to whip up on the Z/28 according to Ford higher up. I was commenting on Factory race car where you are limited to strict rules and all have to pass a tech and have to be as such factory muscle cars you and can drive off the show room floor.I'm pretty sure the GT PP will be competing with the 1le not the z28.
