Anyone know what the angle of approach must be for using some race ramps?

Im planning on getting a set of 4 ramps so I can easily do oil changes, but not too sure what the clearance should be.

Looked in the manual but couldnt find anything.

Couldn't you just measure it? Calculate it from the rise over run using trigonometry.

They give you instructions how to make the measurement, just need a tape measure. From there you can choose which ramp will meet the angle of approach as well as tire width.

I am looking at buying some for my PP2 as well, but I think I will be lowering it another 1/2-3/4" or so, so I need to do the same measuring with that in mind.

I have the 2 piece 67" for my PP2 and it barely drags pulling up on to them. I'm in the middle of installing Steeda ultimate handling springs, the proposed .75" drop may do me in...

They offer the "Xtenders" (https://raceramps.com/car-ramps/garage-and-service-ramps/xtenders/) for the 56" and 67" race ramps that drops the approach angle from 10.8 degrees to 6.6 degrees, so there is that option.
I measured my PP2 stock ride height today to have a maximum angle of approach of 11.2° degrees if that helps anyone..

For your Steeda drop springs your doing, I'm curious if they drop a PP2 car the full .75" drop?

I love my race ramps best $200 I spent towards car related purchase ever. I think mine is about 8° and being plenty long has plenty of room to spare on my 5.0 track pack.

If I had it to do over again, I would most likely get the 2 piece ramps. I'm reasonably sure that they're easier to store and it would be nice to remove that piece of the ramp for better access under the car.

Unfortunately I didn't measure, but I would guess it's about .5". I'll take a pic after I drive and it settles a bit. So far, just driving around town, it feels great.

Jeeeeesus......trigonometry?

You gotta keep it simple for me and my fellow dumb-asses.

OP; Get quick-jacks!!! Or just 4 good jacks and, like, 16 jack stands. Having a car fall on you ain't no joke.

I use Race Ramps too...the longer ones. Only need two. My car is lowered only 1" and it rolls up them no problem. Mine also came with two rear wheel chocks. I love mine!

Since installing the jacking rails, I have been just lifting the left side with my low profile floor jack high enough to put my ramps under the tires. Then raise the right side and do the same. With the jacking rails, as long as you center the jack, it lifts both wheels just fine. I just feel more comfortable under the car with it sitting on the four ramps than on just jack stands.
