stripe advice

Why not just buy the stripes yourself?
I would consider that but I have heard of some many horror stories in going aftermarket, figured I would be safer to have Ford do it with OEM stripes. Can you recommend any particular shop or seller of this product?

For my stripes, I went to the dealer's body shop to get a quote. I knew the quote would be outrageous, but was trying to cut-out the middle-man. I then started asking about different styles of stripes. They told me the person that comes in to do the stripes for them would be able to answer my questions. I asked them for the number so I could decide on color and pattern...and they obliged :headbang:

I called the guy directly, he gave me a price (less than half of what the dealer was charging). He and his son came to my house to do the install in my garage. The job was top notch. These guys do all the AutoNations in the ti-county area and exclusively do all warranty work for all Shelbys. Do yourself a favor, and cut out the middle man.

I've wondered about the possibility of installing just the red pinstripe along the outsides of the existing blue stripes on my white car. Question is, do I cover the black or install outside of that, for a black/red accent to the blue?

Your dealer doesn't have their own in-house body shop?

They do, but they contract out the work for installation of stripes.

Since you are getting the R, would you be willing to purchase an additional set of stripes so that I can buy it from you and then have it installed by some Ford dealer near me?
If thats possible, sure why not.
But I agree, many good shops that can do it right, likely a much cheaper option.
I have used 3M and they have made stripes for ford in the past.
I am sure they would have a shop in your area, other here swear by Bigworm.
