Truly sad to hear of his passing. Have been a fan since I was a kid watching "Mork and Mindy."

Very sad. It shows fame and money are not equivalent to happiness.

Some of the best are tortured.

I still have an MP3 of a standup routine he did in NY years ago. It was the one where he made fun of golf with a Scottish accent. Hysterical.

A genius comedian. His mind worked so fast and he could just keep going for so long, it really was a marvel to watch him.

RIP Robin Williams

Just a place to share your thoughts on the man. I grew up with him all through Hook, Aladdin, jumanji, Mrs Doubtfire, Flubber and countless others. IMO it's a sadder world without him. He was one of favorite actors and comedians. Thankful to have had the opportunity to meet him on one of my deployments here in Qatar years ago.

I see your point, but clinical depression has nothing to do with what you have/don't have. It's a terrible disease. It's unfortunate that he has been battling his demons for so long, and they finally drove him to this.

Fenderaddict2, I agree with your sentiment.

Robin Williams was one of my favorite celebrities, and one of the few I will actually miss. I wish I had the pleasure of meeting him before he passed. From what I know, he was a stand up individual and devoted a lot of time and resources to help out like with the st. jude facilities.

R.I.P. Mr. Williams, you will be greatly missed.
