SoCal shops charge $250, does the 6 hours INCLUDE alignment etc?Was quoted a bit over 6hrs in labor...previous cars I have installed springs on were typically an hour or less per corner...do these cars really require that much labor. Its a pretty reputable shop here in the Cleveland area as well.
Springs is such an easy install. I could do this with my eyes closed. Well maybe LOL. If you have beginner mechanical ability you could save that ridiculous 8 hour quote. And CJ Pony has a nice video of spring install. Follow the video step by step. If you run into an issue watch the video again. And let me say that no mechanic will care more about your car than you.Was quoted a bit over 6hrs in labor...previous cars I have installed springs on were typically an hour or less per corner...do these cars really require that much labor. Did you drop the subframe to install the rears?installed mine today, no lift just a jack and air tools took an hour 45 minutes beginning to end. Super easy, specially the rear
thats nonsense! the rear can easily be done in your driveway on jackstands, as long as you only take out the large bolts on one side, at a time, alignment wont be an issue, thread them on by hand as far as you can so you dont cross threadI'm hesitant about doing so just with jacks as I've been seeing other post that it should be on a lift to drop the subframe
