Next Car Show Coming Up!
I know from the 1,952 views on the latest post Fabric Protector for Fabric Convertible Tops that all of you (except one or two outliers...you know who you are) have treated your top with a cleaner and fabric protector. We are watching you!
For the rest of us, the top has been out all summer and now, that flat area that is exposed to the sun on a regular basis while the rest of the top sits folded.
Before my latest car show, I vacuumed the top carefully with a flat-bottomed nozzle that will not distress the fabric. Do it in long, even rows so it looks to the judges and spectators. Then, I get 2 sheets, one for the front and back of the top, and carefully spray a coat of fabric protector. I have used 3 different brands...this week it is 303 Protector.
Let it dry, and you are off for a day at the show with additional protection from bird droppings, ice cream drips, small nuclear devices, and machine gun bullets. It's well worth 20 minutes.
