I just put together my Quick Jack 7000 and man these things are the shit. Fast, quiet, sturdy as hell. I only put a jack stand under my jack pads, (not actually touching jack pads) for piece of mind and the unexpected, what if's you think about when working under the car. I got the 7000 SLX in case I need to lift a heavy truck, SUV. plenty of room to slide on the car to work a floor dolly. And if some day I need to jack a vehicle with a wider wheel base, I can buy the extender which fits on the top of the Quick Jack.

I just returned my 5000SLX back to costco since it would only lift my car. I'll be getting the 7000SLX at some point since it will lift my car, truck and suburban.

Hi. That was the main reason I bought the 7000. Plus, they are sturdy, very well made.

I'm just waiting for them to go on sale, my garage is currently unusable right at the moment anyways due to our house renovation....

Just having some fun, could not resist.

Hey posted "buy the extender for a wider wheel base?" For why, what's to prevent you from just pulling the jacks further apart?

The extender for the SLX is for lifting wider wheel base vehicles with the Quick Jacks.

Almost picked these up last year, they look cool.

I basically only do oil changes and tire rotations on mustang and two SUVs. I read they were very heavy. Seemed like between the cost and weight, jack stands were just as easy. Any thoughts?

I never used my 5000's but the appeal to them was NOT having to use jack stands anymore.

I use my 5000slx to lift my Nissan titan 4x4 without a issue . The only problem is jack will only lift it high enough just to lift the tires off the ground. So I used it to rotate my tires . And I should note that I use two 4x4's with a attached boards to keep it in place on the quick jack as extenders.

Did you try the 5" truck extenders?
