So I’m getting a ten speed 2018 or 2019 gt. Having a twin turbo kit installed. On E85 and 12.5 pounds put down 1003 wheel on the dyno stock motor other than OPG and S. Talking to the guy and he said it’s pretty reliable for what it is. My question is what are your thoughts about that statement. I know each car is different some blow up at 700 some won’t blow up with 900. It comes down to tuning and that sort of thing as well. What would you recommend rods pistons sleeving? Just leave your thoughts down below :)

That’s no covered in warranty. First thought that crossed my mind. It’s feasible sure but it comes down to what you’re running. I’d worry about blowing it up on a hard launch. Second thought is reputable, how many has it and how long have they been on the road with how many miles under them as is.

I mean pretty reputable people with comp turbos. Tuning is done through PBD and I’m not worried about warranty hehe.

Yeah but 1000 wheel is a way over my thought of reliable. I had a whipple 5.0 for 15k miles pushing 800 and it worked but 1000 is big big boy numbers. Also a stock block at that much power doesn’t really come with reliability. Low boost big power sounds nice but for only so long. Just looking for what others say because I’m trying to make the motor a little more heavy duty in an attempt to make it last.

so it goes back to my 1st post. Whatcha running? Like, what are you doing with 1000+ engine? There more than just engine internals (as you’re aware that you’ll need).

I recommend you drive it just like that while you start building a spare fully built engine so when it does pop you’re ready to go

So 1000+rwhp for "Roll racing mostly; cruising"

If anything dies, I hope its your engine and not you.

Roll racing on the street I’m not going to throw down 1000 wheel I’ll turn it down. I’m saying half mile and at the strip.

My son's buddy bought a 2019 GT, PP1, A10 for just that purpose. He sent it off to a shop in Houston for a complete TT setup, built up the A10, and motor. Got in back in like a month and 15K later. He said it was the scariest car he ever drove and he owns several high HP cars. He was playing with it, and before he knew it was sideways and couldn't get it back, totaled. Just saying, be careful, these coyotes are monsters.

Most engine builders recommend a sleeved block for 950-1000 crank hp, your at 1003 at the wheel, so you have approx 1200-1250 crank. Start saving now for another engine or turn it down.

BTW ford showed at cast iron coyote race block at the PRI show in Indy back in November, With the max bore of 3.74 and a stoker crank it can reach a 5.6 L or 340 ci. Ford says its rated for 2000 hp and they plan on having it available some time in the 2020 calendar year.
