Mustang are tested in Detroit... have you ever driven in Wayne County..? It makes you Houston comment laughable..
Then you've never driven in Houston.

I grew up in Wayne County, spent most of my life there, and Wayne County's roads are billiard tables compared to Houston.

Any updated from anyone with the MR on their 18? This really the one thing kind of holding me up from ordering. I dont know if I want to lay out the extra $6k or if I could get close to what I am looking for in after market parts. I will be using as a DD and not tracking. Roads kind of suck around here, so hearing this system would be good for it. I have Steeda adjustable shocks and strut with the progressive springs and they are pretty harsh and bouncy at times.

Ride quality is a very individual and subjective thing. You need to compare them yourself (and with any long term significant others) on a variety of roads. Nothing "we" can say will really answer your question because "we" all have different criteria.

Ask me the question again in about a month and I'll be glad to share the opinions of our household :-).

Haven't driven the 18 GT but I've owned a 16 1SS without and now a 17' 2SS camaro with magnetic ride. Set at the softest setting it clearly rides better than the standard suspension SS. It actually rides better than my wife's 17' Pilot, imo.
You can also set the soft setting separately in the camaro. I'm sure the mustang is similar.

The real question for me is how much softer the Magneride would be than the non Magneride.

Coming from an RS, I am sure they both feel like Limos.

Even in normal mode I don't think it is much "softer", I would describe it as more compliant. My 18 has MR but our shop car doesn't and I can feel a difference in the ride quality. You feel the bumps with either one but the MR car takes them better and feels more stable to me.

Is anyone disappointed in the magnetic ride? How much body roll does this setup counter? I've done shocks, springs, sways, and bushings on my S197 and GTO for about the price of magnetic ride. I'm looking at either doing magnetic or the above modes if I get an 18. Maybe a PP2 if PP1 is not sufficient. I only drive on street but love having a car that handles very well.
I am coming from a 2015 GT with upgrades sway bars and Ridetech HQ coilovers and the rider is much different. The turn in is not as quick and responsive but the overall ride quality is much better IMHO. The handling is still very good, ride quality is excellent as well. I would not hesitate to order it again.

I wanted a premium PP car so for me $1600 for the MR was a no brainer. I recently lowered my car and the ride is still excellent. I ran coilovers before and while the handling was a little better, the ride quality suffered.
