they will probably claim it is a typo, but the window sticker is basically a contract right?

AFAIK it is illegal to have the Window Sticker have incorrect information on it which is why dealerships refuse to swap seats for Recaros even at the customer's request.

If it is on the window sticker does that mean the car has to have it? Specifically I have a base model 2016 Gt. My window sticker lists Sirius Xm but I don't have it. Can I take my car back and have it put in?

Yeah, right. "Hey, I know I didn't pay for this, but I found a sticker that said it was included. Now I demand you give it to me for free." Lol

The Jeep dealership out by me removes/adds things all the time at the customers request.

It may be messy and hard to keep track of as far as what the car has compared to the sticker, but I don't think it is illegal. I just don't think the dealer wants to mess with it. Swapping things out is not profitable for them.

I have a base ecoboost and my sticker says "satellite capable" for the radio. I guess that means they could plug in something that would receive Sirius...
The car has to have at least the equipment listed on the sticker unless they disclose to you at the time of sale that something is different or removed.

I have since pulled up window stickers from other base GT's from other dealerships. Not one had it listed. I wonder how the error occurred. I figured a computer did the sticker by vin and every base car would start the same. Someone had to change something for that to get printed.

Does your car have the little nub on the roof by the 3rd brake light?

Folks, mostly all new cars theses days...at least with the big 3 are satellite radio capable....and usually always come with a few free months subscription. The last 2 cars I had...they were for 6 months. You don't have to do anything and it will expire on its own with no fees in the meantime.

OP's car says XM ready but does not have the module to receive the signal is how I am understanding it.

I don't think that is correct, the dealer cannot just randomly remove things and the Window Sticker be incorrect.
THIS^^^^^ It's against the law here. If the window sticker says it has it, it better have it.

i bought a base GT. It left the factory 300a. It does not have any satellite hardware. My window sticker however lists Sirius Xm in the interior row of the standard equipment list.

Taking the picture is easy. Sharing it is hard. To me anyway.

Interesting !!

Window stickers are Federally regulated (called the "Monroney Label") & what's listed is what's suppose to be on the car.

http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0209-buying-new-car

That said, it says nothing about Sirius XM on the Ford site (not even a option on the base GT) & a quick look at other stickers for GT's at one of the local large dealers, none have it listed.

What was the build date on your car ??
