Look at fords panel fitment and when it is not a hot mess . Then you will have a point .
No point of having a perfect spoiler when the trunk doesn't fit the quarters well or the doors to quarters or doors to fenders or fenders to hood.
Some spend money just to say they did.
Drivertrain, chassis, engine I ll spend on. A spoiler that go on a hot mess of oem panel fitment is um. Not logical.
I have done a lot of mods, absolutely none of them were the cheap one. Blaming a willingness to buy cheap parts on panel gap is pretty absurd IMO.

I had the cheap spoiler. I replaced it with the real one. It’s SIGNIFICANTLY better. If you don’t care about that improvement then that’s fine. OP asked a question and I gave him my opinion based on first my hand experience with both.

I DID NOT start this thread so that you could bitch about how other people spend their money !!
Welcome to the internet bud. I hardly say I was bitching about anything. Seriously, you should see some of the posts on this forum. You post a thread asking for opinions and you'll get some on both sides. Its how a conversation works...

I only asked for opinions about spoilers. Others and I didn't ask for opinions on how to spend their money.

The internet is a crazy thing. Keyboard warriors suck! It's like when you post something for sale and people highjack saying things like " Too much or you can get this for that, etc"!
Pretty simple. Quit being a disrespectful, cheap ass punk, and if you don't like it, move on!
There is no more respect or ethics/morals. People are rude and much more brave when typing and there isn't a risk of getting smashed in the face.

Absolutely nothing I said was rude. Absolutely nothing I said was disrespectful. The OP asked a question, I told my opinion, someone made a false statement about my opinion, then I refuted that. If you can’t handle someone with a differing opinion then how the hell did you make it in the world. Seriously I’m not sure you even know some of the other comer stations that have been had on this forum, quite nasty.

Anyways, I’m really done with this thread. One things for sure, I have more important things to do that explain to you the value of money. Cheers:like:

I am sorry. My last lost was not directed towards anyone directly. The original post was asking about spoiler quality. The thread was then thrown off track and became a pissing war about who waists money or bla bla bla.
The question was asked. I gave my experiences to basically try to help someone to not have to go through what some of us have. There is a truth to the saying, "you get what you pay for." It isn't 100% full proof, but during my lifetime, and vehicle part purchasing past, I would say more often than not, very true.
I then made reference to highjacking of for sale adds being totally disrespectful. That one I will not apologize for because it is extremely rude.

That is great but for some it don't matter as much.
It depend if you plan on keeping the car long term or not . If trading it off when you get "bored" like most owners then it is burning money to impress those around cars and coffee. Now if it helped with handling better than the repop. I can see it. But um. Ya.

None of that has anything to do with what I said. The real deal is a much higher quality spoiler. If you don’t care about quality then buy cheap stuff, I don’t care what you put on your car, and I’ve never been to a cars and coffee in my life.

OP asked and I answered from my first hand experience. Have you owned both spoilers? Did you have the real one and return it for the cheap one?

Sure. We will agree to disagree.
Most when looking at a mustang that are not anal about them would never notice .
The comical part is then many will buy spun, "rotary forged" wheels. .i.e. fancy word play for cast wheel.
I just don't get it.

Well fancy cast wheels are impressive , i got to say that as im buying some  , They are lighter so there is that ..... but i get the drift , many are treating these Mustangs like only child . It's just a car and the fun is driving it not prepping it for SEMA . These here are my polished wiring loom threads are a bit much 4 sure but we don't have to read them ... AAND there is a fair chance the FP spoiler comes out the same factory as many of the " Cheap ASS " ones

Yup . I mean if you are building a show car . Sure.
The problem with the spun rotary forged ( mandrel forced into a hoop) is they shatter in the hoop center as the material is thin from spreading it out like a rolling pin does dough. NOT ,a fan of these after seeing what happens when they fail. I get it they cost less for a set than one forged wheel most times but my life is worth more than what I'd save trying to get lighter wheels on the cheap.

If you have ocd and plan on keeping your car longer than a year then get the OEM spoiler, don't make the same mistake as me.

I bought a gt500 style spoiler with the tinted gurney flap that was not OEM from steedas shop for about $200. Looked great however I did not like that it used screws instead of studs. Made it a pain to line up properly.

The paint was okay at first but had bad orange peel affect and after about a year the clear coat started to oxidize. Just yesterday I spent about an hour using a medium cutting compound and wax to help restore the clear.
The pic is right after I finished.

I regret not getting OEM and spending an extra couple hundred. When the clear starts to oxidize again I am putting my stock pp1 spoiler back on

I had the same issue with it, so I went to a real hardware store and purchased studs, fender washers and nylock nuts.
I put the studs in the spoiler with blue locktite, and then snugged it all on the car with the washers and locking nuts.

I like the spoiler that came with my California Special. I probably would have never added one to a Mustang but this one looks nice in my opinion.
