Cool video. The spoiler you got looks pretty nice. But i see why you decided not to mount it. So far the spoiler I got fits well. Im going to install today. Hopefully there is nothing I overlooked. Thanks for sharing your experience

I think im going to use the Gorilla mounting tape (double sided). I’ve good experience with the brand Gorilla.
So I just wanted to give a little update on my spoiler install. I decided to not drill onto the trunk and just went with 3m double sided tape. I will say that that spoiler is stuck on there like white on rice. I did not clay bar the trunk but I did do all other steps. I used rubbing alcohol , some 3m adhesive spray and 3 strips of VHB 3m extremely strong double sided tape. I found some at home depot. I did do someting stupid though. After the install I did not allow the tape to cure. I let it sit for maybe an hour and took it out for a drive. On that drive the spoiler was exposed to an average of 70 mph winds and some light rain. When I got home the spoiler was still solid like a rock. The next day I felt really confident that it was on there. I got the car washed but when I got home that's when I got down in the dumps. The spoiler was still very solid but when I looked down at an angle, I noticed the 3m tape was lifting up. I was about to throw in the towel and completely remove the entire spoiler and start again but decided to put some 20 lbs weights with plenty of microfiber towels under on top of the spoiler right on the edge where the 3m tape was lifting up. I honestly didn't think it would help at all but decided to give it a try. I left the weights on there for 24 hours. So just today I got home from work and lifted up the weights and the 3m tape sat back down flush with the trunk. I was very surprised but still thought it was not sticking. So I tugged and lifted and pushed and pulled at that spoiler but that thing is on there. It is rock solid... So anyway that was my experience. I went with the tape and not the screws. I don't regret it. But who knows maybe with time the spoiler will start to lift and not stick but for now I'm going to see how long this spoiler lasts. From what I can see and feel the spoiler is rock solid. If someday it starts to come off. Ill just start fresh. And for sure the next time I will def clay bar and allow the tape to cure. But for now I'll see how long this thing stays on.
I think im going to order this spoiler and install it with only the 3m tape (strongest in the market) since I dont want to drill on my spoiler delete decklid.

Let me know when you get it installed and how difficult/easy it was and then who you got it from cause I am getting one as well.

I got to thinking about that spoiler, I am not sure it will fit my Mustang since its a 2018 model and the ebay listing says 2015-2017...

Oh ok. In my opinion I think it will fit. I saw a video on cj pony and he installed a gt350 spoiler on his 18 GT. I think the rear trunks are the same size but dont take my word for it. Thats just my thoughts. There are plenty of other nice looking spoilers out there. Best of luck:like:

Awesome... End of this week, I will place an order for this exact same spoiler.. and also will use the 3m tape, no way I’m going to drill my trunk .

Thanks for your explanation/help..

Appreciated.

I purchased some 3M VHB double sided tape with some adhesion promoter. The promoter is in a spray can. Just wondering if yours was in a spray can and if so how did you apply it to your trunk area. I dont want to just spray randomly onto trunk. Im thinking of spraying some on a microfiber pad then spreading it where the spoiler will be mounted. Let me know what you think. Thanks
Hey man sorry i missed this, no no i didn't use a spray, too messy. I went to NAPA and they had these little wipes, in packaging similar to wet naps. Its a little yellow sponge like material soaked in promoter. Drys and dissipates almost like rubbing alcohol but is sticky and leaves a film.

Oohhh. I was afraid of that. Im pretty sure mine will be coming without mounting hardware aswell. As long as it has those helicoils inserted I should be ok right ? Just gotta get some bolts to insert. Your spoiler looks good btw
I know this is late, but how did your spoiler turn out? Looking at on also on eBay.

I purchased a track pack spoiler from Amazon. The specific one is below. Upon it arriving, the spoiler had some marks from the packaging. You can see the spots where it looks like styrofoam was pressed against the paint. I tried a quick spray wax, and an actual cleaner wax on it. Neither pulled the foggy smudge from the paint. In addition, the clear coat is so poor that even a microfiber with a spray wax on it leaves scratches.

The spoiler itself it decent. 4 screw holes in the bottom. Seems pretty sturdy. There isn’t any waves in the spoiler or random dents. Overall the actual spoiler was in good shape. But the paint was horrible. I would never put the wing on the car as is. It would last 2 days and immediately look like garbage.

However, I knew this was a potential risk. Since I will be taking the GT badge off the rear deck lid and having a friend fill holes/smooth and paint that, I will be having him paint the spoiler as well. Basically this wing comes “painted”, but should be treated as unpainted. For $112 shipped, I am decently happy with it.

Photos attached of the spoiler purchased, the wing sitting on the car (not installed), the “scuff” marks on the wing, and the wing laying next to the ZL1 Addons wicker bill that will be installed.

Thank you for the pics and comments on this spoiler. Seems like a good deal, may need some brushing up, but $ wise, sounds like a good deal.

As long as you have a hookup on paint. If I didn’t, I would have just bought a good brand.
